The Ideas project ‘The Orient Express’ by designer Let.sGO was selected by LEGO for commercial release in October 2022, and the launch is just around the corner. In the Adults Welcome catalog, the first images of LEGO Ideas 21344 The Orient Express Train have emerged. The model is set to exclusively hit the LEGO Shop on November 1, 2023, with a price tag of €299.99.

LEGO Ideas 21344 The Orient Express Train consists of 2540 bricks and represents a pretty big departure from the original design. The set comes with a dark blue locomotive with a tender and two carriages.

Removing the roof provides access to the interior, which boasts various details like a bed, desk, bar, and toilet. The images showcase eight minifigures complete with a range of accessories, including a suitcase, shovel, camera, and luggage cart.

For this set, LEGO has chosen rails with a slightly more refined design. However, LEGO Ideas 21344 The Orient Express Train should seamlessly align with standard rails in terms of track width. The designer achieved this by using carriages that are eight studs wide, with the train’s wheels adjusted inward to ensure compatibility with existing rails. It’s worth noting that, much like the 2020 release of the LEGO Icons 10277 Crocodile Locomotive, a motor inclusion seems unlikely.
