LEGO Indiana Jones 2023

LEGO Indiana Jones 77012 Fighter Plane Chase

The smallest set that is currently known is the chase scene from Indiana Jones 3. In 2009, this scene was already the basis for LEGO Indiana Jones 7198 Fighter Plane Attack. However, this time the designers have decided to have the two heroes drive in the stolen Citroën convertible. The car is eight studs wide and should fit well in any Speed Champions collection. The Pilatus P-2 is of course not missing and has been redesigned, with stud shooters being attached to both wings this time. The minifigures are Indiana Jones with an open jacket and tie, Henry Jones, Sr., and a pilot. In total, LEGO Indiana Jones 77012 Fighter Plane Chase consists of 387 pieces and the expected retail price is $/€34.99/£29.99

LEGO Indiana Jones 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb

The second new set is LEGO Indiana Jones 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb, which was already released in a similar form in 2008. The model, inspired by the scene from the first Indiana Jones movie, consists of 600 pieces and is expected to cost $/€39.99/£34.99. The set comes with minifigures of Indiana Jones, Marion Ravenwood, Sallah, and a mummy. The set has a width of 24 studs and is therefore comparable in size to the previously released model, but this time LEGO has opted for a detailed back wall with many different bricks. Therefore, no large stickers need to be used, although some are still needed for the hieroglyphics. The designers have also replaced the Anubis statues with two larger and more detailed ones. The Ark of the Covenant is located under the golden arch in the middle.

Update → This set is cancelled.

LEGO Indiana Jones 77014 The Temple of Doom consists of 801 pieces and is expected to have a price tag of €79.99 in the LEGO Shop. The set is said to look considerably better than its predecessor. In the center is the temple, raised on a pedestal of gray bricks. In the background of the pedestal stands a large statue of Kali, as well as the skull altar in which the three Sankara stones can be placed. Builders can make these stones glow using the included light brick. In the middle of the platform, a trapdoor can be opened, just like in the movie. Two mine carts can ride on the rails, and there is also a water tower whose contents can be poured onto the rails. There are said to be a total of six minifigures present: Indiana Jones with his shirt open, Willie Scott, Short Round, Mola Ram, the Maharaja, and a Thuggee guard.

LEGO Indiana Jones 77015 Temple Escape Diorama is based on the first Indiana Jones film: Raiders of the Lost Ark. In 2008, the Temple Escape set (7623) was released, but this time it’s a diorama with two quotes from the movie: “Let us hurry. There is nothing to fear here” spoken by Satipo and “That’s what scares me” from Indiana Jones himself. The diorama is smaller than its predecessor and includes the entrance, the rolling boulder, the pit where Indy uses his whip, and the treasure chamber. The set comes with figures of Indiana Jones, Satipo, Belloq, and a Hovito warrior and consists of 1545 pieces.
