LEGO Star Wars 75355 Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter

The release of LEGO Star Wars 75355 Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter was not particularly surprising, as an image of an unreleased minifigure of Luke Skywalker had been leaked several months prior. This new minifigure features dual-molded legs, with the orange pants and black pilot boots clearly visible, as well as printed arms. Additionally, the set includes a figure of R2-D2.

The LEGO Star Wars 75355 Luke Skywalker’s X-Wing Fighter has a height of 27cm, a length of 55cm, and a width of 44cm. The ship is equipped with various functions, including an opening cockpit, space behind the cockpit for R2-D2, and wings that can be switched from flight mode to attack mode. Additionally, there is an information plaque where Luke Skywalker can be placed.

The X-wing Starfighter was designed by the Incom Corporation for use by the Rebel Alliance in long missions and battles. First appearing in Star Wars: A New Hope, the X-Wings were piloted by elite members of the Rebel Alliance, including Luke Skywalker. In the same film, the Rebel Alliance deployed the X-Wings during the Battle of Yavin, where Luke joined Red Five along with Biggs and Porkins in an attempt to destroy the Empire’s Death Star.

“Although this is not the first time we bring the X-Wing Starfighter to life, this is the most detailed one yet and I am so excited about the final design. It is such an iconic ship and by designing it at this new larger scale, we were able to add more specific details such as the thrusters, the cockpit, and the wings. We are thrilled to share this with the fans,” said Henrik Andersen, LEGO Design Master.

It’s worth noting that the X-Wing Fighter is not a new addition to the Ultimate Collector Series. LEGO has previously released the LEGO Star Wars 7191 X-wing Fighter (2000) and the 10240 Red Five X-wing Starfighter (2013).
