LEGO Technic 42146 Liebherr LR 13000

LEGO Technic 42146 Liebherr LR 13000 consists of 2883 pieces and will be significantly heavier than other large sets in the Technic series. This is because LEGO has had to produce at least 20 units of a new, special part weighing approximately one kilogram for the counterweights, which are placed on the back.

The model features multiple motors and Smart Hubs that can be controlled via the Control+ app for iOS and Android. It has a working crawler drive, a rotating base, and a functional lifting arm with a winch, which presumably translates to six motors and two Smart Hubs. The 99 cm-high crane can lift a weight of 500 grams.

Another reason for the high price is the use of larger molded parts to achieve a height of one meter while still maintaining the crane’s stability. The set comes in yellow.

The LR 13000 is Liebherr’s most powerful crawler crane. Developed in 2009, this crane has a lifting capacity of 3000 tons, making it the world’s strongest crawler crane. The maximum system length is 246 meters, meaning that this crawler crane has the tallest lattice boom ever developed for a crawler crane.
