In 2024, two new LEGO themes will be launched, one of which was revealed during last Sunday’s Super Bowl to be Wicked. The sets will tie in with the upcoming Wicked film, set in the world of Wizard of Oz. Wicked is scheduled to premiere on November 27, 2024, but the LEGO sets will hit the market as early as October. There may also be a second wave, as Part Two has already been announced for 2025.

LEGO Wicked 2024

In October, four new sets (75681, 75682, 75683, and 75684) are set to be released, expected to target children due to the recommended age range. These themed sets will come with minidolls, similar to the Friends and Disney Princess themes. It’s likely that main characters Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo), Glinda (Ariana Grande), and the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) will each have their own minifigure.

LEGO has previously released minifigures with The Wizard of Oz license. In LEGO Minifigures 71023 The LEGO Movie 2, Dorothy Gale, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion appeared, while Elphaba was part of the LEGO Dimensions 71221 The Wizard of Oz Fun Pack.
