It is expected that the LEGO Star Wars 40686 Battle Droid Carrier will be launched on May 1st in the LEGO Shop. The gift with purchase is said to consist of 262 bricks and contain 6 to 8 Battle Droids. At the time of writing, the terms and conditions are not yet known, but we anticipate that the minimum purchase amount will be between 150 and 200 euros.

  • Set number: 40686
  • Name: Battle Droid Carrier
  • Theme: Star Wars
  • Pieces: 262
  • Minifigures: 6-8 Battle Droids
  • Conditions: purchases of ??? or more in LEGO Shop

Incidentally, this is not the first time that LEGO has released a Battle Droid Carrier. In 2001, the transporter was released under set number 7126 (133 bricks), followed by set 75086 in 2015 (565 bricks). The GWP will fall somewhere in between these two sets in terms of size and complexity. The model is known from the film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace.

R2-D2 patch and keychain

The second gift will not be made of bricks and reportedly consists of a patch and a keychain. The exact appearance of the keychain and patch is unknown, but given the already known logo for celebrating 25 years of LEGO Star Wars, there is little doubt that both are based on that same logo. Last year, a similar set was included with Star Wars purchases from €80.
